Learn to make a Bloomax block with Nic from Craftapalooza Designs to get you started on making your own quilt!
No sewing machine required for this hands on workshop! We’re sewing with our hands. Join Nic from Craftapalooza Designs and she will show you her tips for cutting the blooms and stitching the dimensional petals and the joy of creating by hand. We will learn needle turn applique to sew a Bloomax block, creating dimensional bloom petals and learning how to sew the perfect yoyos! If time permits we'll top it off with an introduction to big stitch quilting and learning how to do this technique.
Requirements
Applique glue and/or applique pins
Needle for applique
Thread for applique
8.5" square/s background fabric
3 x 4" pieces of fabric for blooms (if fussy cutting more fabric), 6 petals per bloom
7" square fabric for yo-yo (bring a couple to practice)
Scissors
Fabric marking pen/pencil
Sandpaper board or similar
Bring to class 8.5" background squares (a couple will suffice) to start the Bloomax blocks. AND 6-12 3" x 4" pieces of fabric for petals and 7" squares for yo-yo.

While we will try to transfer you to another of our classes, this may not be possible so the below will apply.
8 weeks before the workshop: 90% of amount paid returned (as refund or store credit)
5-8 weeks before Workshop: 50% of class costs will be returned (as a store credit)
2-5 weeks prior event: 25% of class costs returned (as a store credit)
Two weeks prior to event: No refund
On occasion we may have to postpone or cancel a class, if the class does not met minimum numbers or for some other unavoidable circumstance. We will always try to give you 48hrs notice, and an offer of an alternative date or a full refund will be made. We will not be liable for other costs or expenses that you may incur.
